Hi! My name is Shira Pollack and I am a Junior Psychology major. Next year, I plan on applying to graduate school in clinical psychology in hopes of becoming a clinical psychologist and professor. I am so excited to be a CAPS peer educator and honored to have the opportunity to spread a caring, compassionate, and accepting community here at TCNJ. My passion is to help other people feel their best and overcome any obstacles they are facing. I hope to make a difference in the TCNJ community by spreading awareness about mental health and empowering others to reach their full potential. In addition to CAPS, I am Vice President of the International Psychology Honor Society: Psi Chi, Vice President of Psychology Club, an HSS tutor, and a member of Alpha Phi Omega. In my free time, I love to relax by listening to music, dancing, playing tennis, and being outdoors!
Hi! My name is Suma Mallepeddi and I am a senior double major in Psychology and Public Health with a minor in Economics. As a CAPS Peer Educator, I look forward to positively impacting the TCNJ community by promoting wellness and by raising awareness about mental health. Through this program, I hope to empower others and myself with the knowledge and experience I gain. In addition to CAPS, I am also an EMT, a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, and an on campus tutor. I hope to one day enter the medical profession and continue my passion for helping others. In my free time I love to read novels, listen to music, and volunteer.
Hi! My name is Namal Seneviratne, and I am a junior Biology major on the Pre-Medical track. I am a part of Tri-Beta and Golden Key, and in my free time I like to swim, read, and wander around our beautiful campus! I became a CAPS peer educator to combat the stigma of mental health that exists all around us, which I noticed at a very young age after watching the struggle of someone close to me. There doesn’t have to be discomfort around mental health issues, and I want to be a part of the solution! This is my second year as a CAPS PE, and I’m so excited to help make this campus a safe and empowering place for everyone.

Hello! My name is Sara Graser and I’m a senior Psychology major and Deaf Studies minor. I also play club field hockey on campus and love being part of the CAPS community to help share our ideas and advice to the TCNJ community as a student representative for our wonderful CAPS staff and program.
Hi! I’m Jamie Nicolich and I’m a senior psychology major. I’m involved in a few clubs on campus and also love spending time outdoors doing things like hiking, camping, kayaking, and snowboarding. After graduating, I am currently planning on getting a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling. As a peer educator, I hope to change the conversation on campus around mental illness and self-care in relevant and interesting ways.
Hi! My name is Rucha Borkhetaria, and I am a junior Biology major with a minor in Public Health, and I am hoping to enter the medical profession in the future. This is my first year as a CAPS Peer Educator, and I am looking forward to working with the other PE’s in promoting mental health and wellness in the TCNJ community. Through CAPS, I hope to combat the stigma surrounding mental health and positively impact our campus. Outside of CAPS, I enjoy photography, reading novels, traveling and drawing.
Hi! My name is Emily Fuentes and I am a senior Communications major with a Graphic Design minor. I am so excited to start my first year as a CAPS PE. Aside from being a PE, I am a sister of Theta Phi Alpha, a Student Ambassador for the Communications Department and a member of the Communications Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta. On my free time I enjoy watching a lot of Netflix and spending time with my family and friends. In joining CAPS I hope to be an ally for those struggling on campus. Hello! My name is Kelsie Cavorley and I am a junior Nursing student! I am excited to take part in the CAPS Peer Education program because health is something that I value. I hope to help others with my knowledge about mental health, along with being a nurse in the future! I love nature and enjoy spending time outside, either running or hiking. I am interested in the unknown, and can spend hours gazing up at the night sky. I am a huge fan of The Office and Ellen! A dream of mine is to travel the world, starting with all 50 states of America.

HEY! My name is Komal Kerkar and I am a Junior psychology major planning on a career in the medical field! This is my first semester as a CAPS PE and I’m extremely excited to see all that our group accomplishes towards greater mental health education on our campus. Improving the conversation about mental health has been an endeavor of mine that stems from my own personal struggle with mental illness. In addition to the CAPS peer education program, I am also a Community Advisor in ResEd, a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a research assistant in Dr. Martinetti’s Alcohol Lab, and a volunteer for FIMRC (I went to Peru last summer for them)! Some of my stress relief techniques include photography, meditation, and cuddling with my dog, Lola <3
My name is Sarthak Mohanty and I’m from Edison, New Jersey. I’m a biology major in the seven year medical program and enjoy reading, and playing tennis in my free time. My favorite TV shows are Friends, Narcos and Breaking Bad and I joined CAPS to get to know people and help the TCNJ community with issues that are common but rarely addressed.
