The BACCHUS Network™ is a university and community based network focusing on comprehensive health and safety initiatives. It is the mission of Bacchus Gamma as a non-profit organization to promote student and young adult based, campus and community-wide leadership on health and safety issues. Bacchus Gamma serves as an overseeing body to help peer education programs get started while serving as a mentor for new and already developed peer education programs. ADEP works with, and will continue to work with Bacchus Gamma in it’s upcoming peer education trainings.

The Higher Education Center helps campuses and communities address problems of alcohol, other drugs, and violence by identifying effective strategies and programs based upon the best prevention science.

 National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism

The NIAAA provides leadership in the national effort to reduce alcohol-related problems by: conducting and supporting research in a wide range of scientific areas including genetics, neuroscience, epidemiology, health risks and benefits of alcohol consumption, prevention, and treatment, coordinating and collaborating with other research institutes and Federal Programs on alcohol-related issues, collaborating with international, national, state, and local institutions, organizations, agencies, and programs engaged in alcohol-related work, and translating and disseminating research findings to health care providers, researchers, policymakers, and the public.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration

SAMHSA believes and demonstrates that prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover from mental and substance use disorders. SAMHSA’s programs are carried out through its centers and offices including The Center for Mental Health Services, The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, and The Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality. SAMHSA’s website offers research, services, data, publications, and newsworthy information in the field of substance abuse and mental health.

The association provides advocacy resources, education, communications, products, and services, as well as promotes research and culturally competent practices.
